What is Dharma?
धर्मः (मुक्तछन्दः) ईश्वरस्य उचितादेशपालनम्, तस्य नीतिनियमानां अनुसरणम्। जागतिकानां सुनियमधारणमेव धर्मः॥ ----------------------- उचितादेशपालनम् - तात्पर्यम् ईश्वरस्य आदेशः अन्ततः धर्ममयः अस्ति। कदाचित् सः भक्तपरीक्षारूपेण प्रतीयते। श्रद्धा-विवेक-धर्मबुद्ध्या तस्य पालनमेव सच्चधर्मः। एवं धर्मः जगतः स्थिरतां दधाति॥ 💓 Dharma . धर्म व्युत्पत्तिगत अर्थ: √धृ + मन् → धर्मन् → धर्म (भाषावैज्ञानिक रूप) √धृ + मनिन् → धर्मन् → धर्म (पाणिनीय परंपरा) यहाँ: √धृ = धारण करना। मन् (मनिन्) = कृत्-प्रत्यय। धर्मन् = धारण करने वाला सिद्धान्त/तत्त्व। धर्म = प्रचलित रूप। Dharma is the moral, ethical, and spiritual principle that holds and sustains both the individual and the cosmic order .
